Last Wednesday, Straphanger.org's Goebbels-meister Russianoff flip-flopped like crazy in a Daily News editorial...as he was FOR the PEOPLE whilst being FOR the transit "workers."
Since most folk are off today, y'all missed his Chucky "Cheese" Schumer ...as Curtis Sliwa calls our photo-op hungry senior---you probably missed Herr Russianoff's tepid comment about the MTA's inability after three years to have defibrillator's at it's bus depots and subway yards: It struck me as the best approach. I'm sorry to see it go.
MAYBE Russianoff, like his Straphanger's Campaign, is striving to be the next Paula Abdul on "American Idol"?

If he's running for Dork of the Year, then he'd definitely got MY vote!

According to Heather Haddon in yesterday's am-ny:
to which Straphanger.org twit Russianoff replies, "For those of us who have to ride the subways on the weekends, it's a godsend."
WTF does THAT mean???
Why should we expect degraded service on the weekends...and what do YOU call someone who's been fixing something for over forty years and still ain't got it right? I call them incompetent
NYC Transit has scheduled eight service changes for next weekend, as opposed to more than two dozen disruptions at times earlier this year. Weekend work will be light for all of December, according to an MTA news release

Despite the misguided criticism RE: MTA's agents layoffs, Gene Russianoff's response was unmonitored entrances in the subway system would present “an invitation to turnstile jumping.”
He doesn't care for the workers who are gonna be laid off, nor the straphangers his organization is supposed to represent...maybe the Schmuck-miester is gunning for a job on the MTA board???
