I am feeling sad doing this post, I feel obligated to register the passing of a fellow ForumNYC member. Paddypool was of a poetic nature, and was a very frequent New York Forum poster. R.I.P. Patrick Knight and my condolences to his family. :(

My sincere condolenses also.. I knew Patrick Knight, aka: Paddy from YOliverpool forum.. and also read some of his life on here.. He was a fine man.. His brother posted his passing on Echo forum, Liverpool, England... which he also frequented..

Lived through some hard times in his youth..having and revealing he had electo brain stimulation for health at an early age.. His passion was quoting and reading Joycean, and Dylan Thomas's poems.. He posted many lovely pictures and always tried to be upbeat.. His passing is a tragic loss to a great writer and poet... RIP Paddy.. you will be missed.. Sorry you never could enjoy your new home.. yet, now, in the Universe .. you can soar and see the World... aloha.. naked lilac..paulette

My condolences. Patrick was the nicest British bloke on here. He was here to talk to New Yorkers, not to find quick tourist info and leave.

RIP

No one knows yet. He wasn't that well for a while it appears. He lived around the Penny Lane district of Liverpool as a youth, and would write about how it was before the Beatles sang about the district.

Although a graduate, he did a variety of jobs around England, even up to physically laying rail lines in southern England, jobs it seems he loved doing.

I'm shocked and saddened by this. How sad we lost him. I'll miss his funny stories. Too many people have died this summer. :(

I have only just read this. I am so upset. I apologise to all for not reading the announcements column properly and asking such stupid questions about his whereabouts. Thanks Zero for sending me that message which led to me looking through the forum properly.

I am sad and so loved to read his posts.

Signed
